Our Veterinary Staff

Practice Manager

Jimmy is a born and raised Texan who grew up around animals on a ranch in South Texas.  He has been working in the veterinary field since 2000, and enjoys working with animals because of the bond he forms with both the clients and their pets. Jimmy started at CMAH in June of 2004. He started out as a veterinary technician and loves assisting the doctors daily in activities such as taking and developing radiographs, drawing blood, cleaning teeth, placing IV catheters and assisting in surgery. He has been taking on more management duties over the years, and has been promoted to practice manager for CMAH. Jimmy, his wife Cori, and their sons, Henry and Johnny, share a home with 5 pets: two black labs, Bene and Bob, and three cats: Rooster, Otto, and Frannie. In his free time, Jimmy enjoys hunting, fishing, running, spending time with his family, and relaxing at home.

Bronte Hampton

Bronte joined Custer McDermott Animal Hospital in 2015. She is the proud owner of a Pit Bull named Athena, and she is an animal enthusiast. She was born in Wichita, Kansas. She considers herself a Texan at heart, minus the fact that she is a die-hard Oklahoma fan. She moved to Texas when she was eight years old. She has had animals all her life, and absolutely adores them. Taking a vet tech class in high school showed her that working with animals was what she wanted to do with her life. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new places with Athena, taking her on walks and training her to do new tricks. She believes that animals let us into their lives so we should do the same for them, and a little bit more. She is thankful to be a part of the CMAH family!

Born in Atlanta and raised in Plano, Emily has always known she wanted to work in the veterinary field. It began when she started horseback riding at a young age and continued through high school with FFA and various internships. After graduating from Allegheny College in 2016 and enduring the frigid winters of Pennsylvania, Emily joined the Custer McDermott family in January 2017 with hopes of attending vet school in the near future. In her spare time, Emily enjoys working out, being with friends, and of course, spending time with her two pups, a Pit Bull mix named Espy and Zip, a Beagle mix.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her dogs, Polo, Noel, and Ricon. Frances also enjoys fishing, hiking, and trail riding on her Morgan horse, Skeeter.
